Support Brackets

Car Info: 1999 Chrysler Cirrus Lxi, 2.5L 6cyl

I'm currently in the process of replacing a damaged oil pan and I have run into a roadblock. I followed the Haynes manual and have removed what I needed to remove and I was finally able to actually get the drain pan completely off but one of the things that I need to have removed one of the engine to transmission support brackets. The bracket in the rear has been completely removed but the front one is still attached and it will be impossible to install the new drain pan without causing damage to it with that bracket in place. The issue is that the design on the brackets has rounded edges which makes it impossible for me to simply slide the bracket out. Its current position is sandwiched between the engine block and a piece of steel that is attached to other support pieces and it doesn't look like it would be a good idea to loosen any of those bolts. I've tried to pry them apart but it's an aluminum engine block and a piece of steel that's attached to other pieces of steel that aren't moving an inch. The Haynes manual simply says to remove the brackets but it doesn't give a single clue as to how to remove that piece. I'm hoping that someone knows what I need to do to get this thing off because I don't...Thanks

The pics show the bracket from two different angles.
