Temperature hit the roof and suddenly went back to normal
95 Cirrus, V-6. The temperature climbed to the highest point but before I pulled over it started falling and within a half mile it was back to normal. Five miles later it climbed all the way back up and didn't go back down. I don't have a thermostat in it. The overflow reservoir was perfect, but the radiator was a gallon low. I filled it up and drove ten miles and the temperature stayed normal. Clogged radiator? Clogged overflow reservoir?
Now it's leaking quite a bit of antifreeze. Water pump? Is that an expensive deal? My brother has a Contour and they practically had to pull the engine to change the spark plugs. Seems ridiculous to spend $300 bucks for four spark plugs. This Cirrus has been one of the nicest cars I've ever had. Thanks folks, for your advice. |
