Transmission failure after engine swap
I bought a 2000 chrysler cirrus Lxi 2.5 L two months ago. The engine was not running correctly and I decided to swap it with another one.
After replacement, now engine is working very good but there is another problem here. Transmission does not work correctly. When I shift it in Drive mode, It doesn't start running. But when i slam the gas pedal (I mean when the rpm goes higher than 3000) it starts running very very slowly. It also makes a weird noise (like boom boom) while running. I hooked up a scanner and got the codes which are listed bellow: P0700 P0732 P0734 P1782 I also found that it just runs when the transmission fluid is fully filled (more than the maximum level),(about 2 gallons) and I see the fluid leakage underneath the car while it runs. |
ahhhh you get to take the engine or trans back out and see what you did wrong. Sorry to say but its not a natural failure it was man made.
