Outside Cleaning
I have a 2007 Pacifica and I would like some advice on cleaning the plastic trim along the rocker panels of the car. It gets dirty from road grime and I cannot find a cleaner to remove the spots and dirt. Thanks for the help.

RE: Outside Cleaning
We've used tar and bug remover on the bumper (which is, of course, not metal)

Any wax and grease remover should reomve the grime, such as bug and tar remover. There is also Simple Green. A good alternative.

If you are referring to the bottom portion of the car....the grey plastic...I use soap and water and then polish it with a UV Protector. Looks line new. Bought this stuff from PepBoys called Professionals Favorite and it's great.

RE: Outside Cleaning
You need a good bug and tar removal. The best I've used lately is made by Surf City Garage, and it's called Road Trip Grime Destroyer. Sounds hokey, but works amazingly well.
Follow up with a good exterior protectant if this is an unpainted panel. Certain sealants can be used on those panels, which will help keep them clean. Zaino is the best, IMO, but there are others. Just make sure you don't apply any sealant or wax that stains trim and plastic. |
Any car soap(not dish soap) will be fine... To scrub use a microfiber soft of sponge... To dry use a scratch resistant towel....It will be better for you.

regular cleaning is required for this and any car cleaning agent can be used for the cleaning
