spots on chrome plastic moldings under windows

i just purchased a chrysler 200 a week ago!
love the car....washed it this weekend and noticed that the chrome plastic moldings under the windows looked like there were little spots on them
(not water spots)any suggestions on how and what product to clean them.
I'm thinking of calling the dealer to have it replaced or should i try a cleaning product... i was thinking of getting mequiars plastic X any suggestions:(

Go ask the dealer where you bought it to get the detail guy to look at it. Unless you used something you weren't supposed to like getiing wheel acid in the wash bucket, they shouldn't do that.

I have bin Detailing and trying new products, rub some NEVER DULL on them, its in a blue can its like cotton rip a small piece rub it on real good and wipe it with a soft terry cloth,This was caused by hard water that wasn't dried correctly and dried by the sun,Let us know how that works out for you, Dibby

i took the car to the dealer....they were little brown spots that resemble pitting..they put compound and used like a steel wool made for chrome..then polished it up.. looks good so far. The service mgr said that they were under warranty so if i dont like the way they look ..back to the dealership. They probably got that way sitting on the lot. thanks for replying...have a get day!
