1991 chrysler brakes

I purchased this car about two mos. ago. Whenever I FIRST step on the brakes they make a buzzing noise. The brakes have been checked and they are 50% worn but otherwise ok. Owner's manual doesn't mention anything about this noise and it has me concerned. HELP!

don't panic! its the abs working, check this statement i took off the web site.moe............When the vehicle is being stopped and the brakes are in the antilock mode, the operator of the vehicle may experience: 1) The sound of the ABS pump motor running. The ABS pump may also continue to run for a short time after the end of the ABS stop. 2) The simultaneous clicking sound of the solenoid valves. 3) Brake pedal pulsations, and 4) A slight drop or fall away of brake pedal at the end of the stop. THESE CHARACTERISTICS REPRESENT NORMAL OPERATION OF THE ABS.
