2002 Pt Cruiser

i have an 02 PT and i am having overheating issues. when i start the car the engine and heat warm up faster than normal. but the temp gauge stay at medium. then i drive it for 30-40 minutes and it start to overheat and coolant starts to boil out the reserve tank. the 1st sign was stopping at a light an the heat turned cold and as i excellerated it turned warm again. HELP!!:(

possible heads warped possible fan issue start looking and see what u see

ok thanks, im gonna take out thermostat and flush rad and engine and clean up any fluid under car.ill test thermo stat while i have it out. and replace with HOAT antifreeze!! oil change place used green antifreeze when topping it off. and then ill look for leakage out of head and fan. hope its warm out this weekend. again thanks for tips.
