2003 Chrysler Sebring 2.7 Alt Fuse
 

The Alt/o2/EGR fuse keeps blowing, had alt checked and it is good. Disconnected 3 o2 sensors and still blows fuse. Does it have more than 3 o2 sensors? Does this engine have a egr valve? Thanks

It is fuse # 25 and is a 20 amp

Yes, it has an EGR valve. And just unhooking sensors will not stop a fuse from blowing if there is a short in the wire harness between those parts and the fuse panel.

when does the fuse blow at instant start up or as soon as you drive off when?

It blows immediately when car starts. How many o2 sensors does this car have? And where is the ERG valve located is it electric or vacuum? Could the EGR valve be bad? Thanks for the help!

I don't know where on this world you are located, but a Haynes manual is not very expensive to purchase and will give you good BASICS of things about your ride. I buy one for each car that I own, and although not as good as a factory manual,it has enough to usually get me along with troubles I may run in to.
From reading your thread, it sounds like you have a main power wire from the alternator that is shorting(contacting metal) out to a ground thus blowing that fuse.

the main B+ wire to the alternator has a fuse link to handle 140 amps not a 20 amp fuse.

You have 4 o2 sensors 2 front 2 rear You can do this a few ways get a bunch of 20 amp fuses start unplugging each item until you find out what part of the circuit is the fault is on. get an inline fuse will reset itself after each time. an ohmmeter trace it down that way. Unplug each item until the fuse no longer blows then you have it. And if all things are unplugged then you have a wire issue more fun.

Where could I find the wiring diagram for this car. Could only find 3, 02 sensors. Does it have a EGR valve. I Have checked Chilitons and Haynes manuals but they are pretty general and not specific. I will keep looking. Thanks

Once again, YES it has an EGR valve! Not looking like a normal unit that most folk are accustomed to seeing. It is down near the lower side of the engine block with a few metal tubes that run to it from exhaust manifolds to the intake manifold. Sounds more like a shorting wire to some metal component than a sensor issue. Sorry you have a problem interpolating your cars info to what Haynes breaks down by motor size.
