Pacifica overheats at idle

When my '05 Pacifica is stopped, ideling it overheats, with or without the air conditioning on. I brought it to a local machanic and he installed a new fan moter. Then hotwired one of the fans to the radio/ accessory fuse as he felt the computer was not starting the fan soon enough. The fan now runs when the key is on, but I could not leave today as the service imobilization light is on and the key will not start the car. He asked me to bring my extra key in tomorrow and he will "call around" and someone will tell him how to trouble shoot that.
Maybe I should have the car towed to a dealer??

the stupid people wired into the alarm system

I had it towed to the nearest Chrysler dealer. It was hot wired to the same fuse as the radio. Maybe the alarm is on that same fuse? The dealer's service manager said "I have serious issues". I did see that the hot wire was removed by the local mechanic that wired it. He did leave his splice on the fan motor. The dealer hoped to get it in a service bay yesterday afternoon, but I have not heard from him yet.
