RE: radio code please

Martin,
This board is for questions about the forum. You might get more responses if you post on the Voyager board. Anyway, I have been able to kick start the radio on my 2001 Sebring by pulling the IOD fusefor about 30 seconds and replacing it. IOD stands for "ignition off draw" and it powers things that work without a key in the ignition, such as the interior lights, power seat, door locks and, of course, the clock in the radio. It's not labeled "IOD"in your owners manual; it is the fuse that controls those things.
It's possible that your radio was fried if you jump started your car when the battery was down. Let's hope not.
If it truly is a security code issue, you may have to go to the dealer and have them hook the car up to their DRB III tool. They may not know how to do it.

Good luck.

RE: radio code please

If your battery was completely dead, then the code will be required to reactivate the radio. You must go to the dealer tho to get the code. It is very helpful to deal with the dealer who sold the car when new, but not required. You will need your VIN, and most likely some kind of ownership papers of the vehicle. Almost best to bring it with you to the dealer, saves time.
