Sebring LX 2003 water pump
Hello
My Sebring LX from 2003 has a leaking water pump. I drove to the local car repair shop and the guy there claimed that he has to remove the motor to get access to the water pump. The bill would have been quite high. I am not an expert on cars but please tell me was he right or wrong. There is a video on Youtube of Chrysler Sebring 2004 water pump replacement. |
The motor does not need to be removed. The work is done through the passenger wheel well and is quite time consuming, 5-6 hours of labor. Requires removing the timing chain cover (this is a 2.7l v6 - yes) as the water pump is driven by the timing chain.

Thank you, Sir!
