03 t&c 3.8 missing on 3 cylinders
 

I have a 03 T&C 3.8 It is missing on three cyliders. It has ran fine before it started doing it. It did how ever feel like there was alot of heat coming out from under the van when it was running ok but that was the only problem i have had with it. Things that i have done so far. Replaced fule filter, plugs oem, wires, coil. Checked for spark on all cylinders. checked ok. If this helps. The plugs that i pulled out of the cylinders that are now missing where very badly warn. There is no mil light on and no frezz frames. I know its running rich by the new plugs have that black powder crap on it. And the cat gets hot and smells like roton eggs.

if there is check engine light how do u know its missing on just 3 ???

i dont know for sure if its just three. But i can put new plugs in and as long as i just let it idel i can shut it off and pull those 3 plugs out and they will be as clean as a wip. Just wet from the gas. The others look alright. If i rev it a little the all get black and i shoot gas out the tail pipe. Kinda sounds to me like a timing isue, but i would expect it to throw up a code if it was. Any thoughts you may have would be helpful.

are the three all on the same bank or are they on both banks missfiring?

well two in back closest to the passager side and one in front closeset to the driver side. By bank do you mean side of the motor? How are they hooked up?

could all three go south all at once? I know they could have been leaking the whole time. But what would cause all three to not work at all, all at once?
