1990 New Yorker - theft alarm issues

Hello everyone, a few days ago, my New Yorker went crazy on a supermarket parking lot. When I opened the door with my key, the theft alarm turned on and I wasn't able to start the engine anymore. I wasn't able to fix it, so I got the car towed away to my garage. It stays in theft alarm mode, no matter what I do. Opening, closing the doors and playing around with the trunk didn't help. Removing the battery for hours didn't help either. I removed the glove box to access the theft alarm module. I would like to remove the module and replace it with a module from a junk Imperial that I use for spare parts but according to the book, removing the module without the engine running will turn the vehicle in a no-start condition and my engine shuts down instantly, so I guess I can't do that. My plan is to replace the module with the battery removed but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I removed all the fuses and checked them, all good but maybe I cut the power to the module by removing the fuse and now the system is in "hardcore shutdown mode"?

Does someone have any idea how to fix it? Is it possible to remove/shut down the theft alarm system completely? It's giving me a lot of headaches!

Best regards and thanks!
