2001 Concorde not starting any help is welcome

I have a 2001 Concorde that won't start. When the key is turned over the dashlights blink rapidly and it makes a fast clicking noise. I've not had trouble with this in the past. Any suggestions?

Your battery is weak....Has the car been sitting a while?

Try a jump start..If it starts, let it run for 20 minutes and try again.

Well Yes and No. I don't drive much so it does set for several days. After posting this I tried to start it again. After turning the key a few times without attempting to start it. On the third time I did go ahead to attempt to start it and it started with no problem. I shut it off and restarted it several times and it started without fail. I then went out this morning to see if it would start and it did with no problems at all. :D

Ok....Clean The Green and fuzzy stuff off of your battery terminals

I can't see anything on the positive one and can't find the negative one.

The front of the splash shield is blocking it. Get a mirror and a flashlight. You may have to go in under the wheel well to get to it.

I went back out to mess with the negative battery terminal and the car tries to start but won't fully turn over. Its almost like its not getting gas. The headlights come on and all the lights work and do not dim when attempting to start. Could it be an issue with the fuel system??

UPDATE: I cleaned the negative battery terminal. It did need to be cleaned. However after I got it cleaned and put back together it still won't start. Even with a jump. Any suggestions?? Maybe fuel pump or injectors?

I got it to start this morning but only by hitting the gas petal. It ran rough at first and it a few times felt like it was going to die while idling. I put it in reverse backed up a bit and in drive to put it back in its spot. Let it run awhile longer, and turned it off and then back on. I can't take this car anywhere afraid that it won't start on me. I'm not sure what else could be wrong.
