Default 2001 Neon - Rear wing removal and a couple of other things

Hi

I've just bought a 2001 Neon auto from my dad and want to just bring it back up to scratch.

  • I know the front wings are just bolted on, but how are the rear wings fitted?
  • Is there an easy way to change the aerial other than taking the front wing off?
  • And the front bumper, is that easy to take off?
I've been trying to find a Haynes manual for it but can't - anyone know of a good home-service book for the Neon?

Ta

Welcome to the site Roofchopped!

Rear "Wings" are called 1/4 panels here in north america, and if that is what you mean, the "wings" are welded on, not something to be changing as a Do It Yourself. Front covers are easy to come off, look underneath for fastners, look at the wheel openings, hood openings, etc etc. The aerial will most likely be destroyed when you remove it due to dissimilar metals corroding. The best bet is to have a new one handy, and then use the proper tool to remove the nut on the top of the antenna if possible, if not possible, you will be destroying it to remove it.

hope this helps!
