2002 TnC ABS/Brake light come on-radio/heat lose power

I have a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country. Yesterday while driving out of nowhere the ABS and Brake light came on my dash. It was on for a second and shut right back off, then again but this time stayed on for a few seconds then turned off. Today it did the same thing but in addition to the lights coming on my radio and heat completely shut off and then a few seconds later the lights would go off and the radio/heat would come back on. I was still driving, the van didn't kill. I'm so confused. It has 104,000 miles on it.

Any help would really be appreciated!

Thanks!

Check condition of battery, brake reservoir fluid level, brake lights in rear. These things are not connected to each other but could cause the symptoms you write about if all are present.
Otherwise, it could be a sign of a body computer going on the fritz.

Ok checked all items but still having problems. Are my symptoms related to the speed sensor going bad?

DO u know if U have abs or not? There is a software update for a van that does not have abs and the light comes on any way.
As for the other issues when U say heat do U mean the fan does not work or u loose all heat when the fan is running?

Accordantly to my wife she said the ABS and E-brake dash light came on with the chime and the radio and dual climate panel shut off for 3 seconds. The abs light went off and the radio and heater came on. I test drove it today to see what she meant and it did it to me like 3 times in a short test drive. When it did it to me the radio and heater still had its display lit but sounded like it was muting for the audible chime. The van does have ABS. 2002 Limited FWD.

Yesterday after having the van the whole day, It is now killing the engine and all power for 3 seconds wile driving, The fuel gauge, Speed, Rpm,Radio,ect... Andthen itwill come right back on and the engine will resume.. Its like turning the key off and then on wile driving. Should I be looking at replacing the ignition starter switch or the relay? Any ideas would help tremendously Thanks for your time!

Sounds like either the powertain or body computer or both are acting up. To me, that suggests perhaps some low voltage from a battery that is getting ready to croak. What did you do to check the battery? You need to get it load tested, where they attach it to a carbon pile and run a good current out of it. While doing that, they monitor its ability to produce current without losing too much voltage in the process.
Low voltage can cause electronics to behave badly and unpredictably. You seem to have a lot of strange problems in different areas all cropping up at once.

Okay, I had it load tested today and they said it passed the test charging at 14.5 volts. It did however detect a "Ripple." I'm not sure if that is causing the computer to shut down or not. Should I go ahead and spend the money to replace the alternator or start looking in other areas?

the battery pass and the alternators charging if they're working good why replace them. if they're good and you replace them then it would just be throwing money away. at this point i would check for codes and see what you have.

Checked with an OBD reader and came up with nothing. So with a slight ripple the computer will function?
