2006 chrysler sebring rough Idle

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and need some help with my 2006 sebring I bought for my son. we had an issue where when you start the car it would idle really rough like it was skipping and wanted to stall till I applied gas

after a few seconds of driving it ran and started just fine also there is no check engine light, stated this morning fine any thoughts?

Thanks,

Could be a gummed up fuel injector. Might want to try a can of fuel injector cleaner. Doesn't cost much; can't hurt. Might help.

You should retrieve any engine codes. Try the "key dance": Turn key "On", Off", "On", "Off", "On". (Without starting the car). Read codes in odometer space.

Or take it to an auto parts store like AutoZone or PepBoys and ask them to read any codes.

A heavy miss in the engine will trigger a code even if the CEL is not triggered.

Might be a borderline spark plug or spark coil.
