300C Soft Brake Pedal

I have a new 2006 300C Heritage with <1000 miles. The brake pedal will go to the floor with continued pressure. The car stops okay, but the brake pedal does need some travel before the brakes respond. Dealer says its "normal" and would not do my request to bleed the system. I bled the system with a pressure bleeder and didn't really see any air. The pedal does not change its firmness with pumping, so I don't think air intrusion is the problem. I think the master cylinder maybe be bypassing. I am more of an aggressive driver and like responsive brakes. This is my first Chrysler so I am not sure if the "feel" is normal. Any comments? Specifically on the 300C (which is supposed to have "big" brakes)?

Thanks

RE: 300C Soft Brake Pedal

My car does the same and canot get an anser on this board. I repalce the master clylinder and reaplce the ABS pump then bleed the brakes and it was fine. 1 Month later its back and tell the dealer it is not normal !!!

2008 v6 300 Chrysler LX brake pedal will go to floor if foot pushed; after having complete brake work front and rear with new master cylinder.. Is this Normal.

With the engine running, the power brake system will allow the pedal to go to the floor if you press hard enough and long enough.

Try turning the engine off and apply the brakes several times to deplete the power brake system. The pedal then should be firm.
