300M Service Engine Light

Hope someone can help. I have a 2004 300M Special that runs perfect 99% of the time. The other 1% is baffling to me and to the local dealer too. What's happening is the Service Eng. Soon light will come on while the car is running perfectly. It will then either stall out or start vibrating tremendously between 20 and 30 MPH. Once you turn the car off, the problem goes away. The SES light stays on for a few cycles then goes off. The dealer won't even look at it because he says if the car is not malfunctioning, the SES light code means nothing to him. So either I get the car to him while it's acting up (next to impossible as the car typically won't go bad while the dealership is open, plus now it's stalling instead of vibrating and bucking) or he says he can't help me. I'm pretty sure I'm heading for a major problem. Anyone ever heard of anything like this? Thanks in advance.
