87 top question
 

ok i have had 3 lebarons verts and this happened today that surprised me. when i put the tops down they stay for the most part all summer, unless i wind up at a hotel for a car show and the car is out overnight. well today that is happening. so i raised the top and bam at the bow above the window i see a tear. floored me as these tops have always just went down and managed to store correctly. being if is not easy to lower them and then get out to make sure they arrange themselves correctly. well this time it did not do that.

so now that this has happened can anyone tell me if this was an issue with the 87? the other 2 labarons were the 95 and another 87 that was the pace car. that one had frame issues that came from the mfg. that would not put the top into the well completely i had to remove some linkages and modify those to get the top into the well. but of all the verts, and i have had over 10 of them this is the first time i had this happen. so again was this an issue in 87 on the lebarons that now i have to watch for. thanks bp
