Alarm setting and door locking - Chrysler 300

Hi, hope someone can help please.

I have recently bought a Chrysler 300....always wanted one and absolutely loving it!

One thing I am struggling with is locking the car with the remote.

When I close all the doors, I press the lock button on the remote and I can see the red light flashing quickly for 16 seconds but the doors do not lock. I then have to press the lock button again, once the red light has gone from flashing quickly to slowly, in order for the doors to lock.

Should the doors should lock as soon as I press the lock button the first time?

Thanks

You should probably start with the owners manual. If yours is 2005 or later, you can download one from chrysler.com

Hi AB77,
Congrats on getting your 300! Based on these symptoms, have you tried replacing the batteries in your remote? We're available if you need any assistance. Just send us a private message and we would be happy to help!
