Any DRB2 scan tool experts here?
Hi guys,
I've recently picked up a DRB2 which came with the necessary data link cables, but no manual and no voltmeter probe(s). It works great as a scan tool, but some procedures in my Chrysler diagnostic manuals specify that voltage and resistance should be measured using the DRB2 rather than an external meter. I'm totally in the dark about how the DRB2 is used as a volt/ohmmeter. I can't find any information online, so I'd be grateful for anyone who can point me in the right direction. I note that on top of the DRB2 there are two mysterious sockets - a tiny multipin and what looks like a connection for a banana plug. It has a red surround, so I'm guessing here that you plug a single standard multimeter probe into it to act as the positive, and the DRB2 provides the ground through the data link connector? Or am I way off? Any advice gratefully received :) |
