AutoEnginuity

anyone have any experience with this device? Not interested in diagnostics (both vehicles are in warranty for 8 years bumper to bumper) but more so the enhanced domestic options and being able to turn options on and off. According to AE staff, it supports up to 15' model vehicles currently (16' models soon) and the need to obtain a sales code from Dealer or Mopar is not necessary. If it supports the function, it will turn it off and on.

Good example would be my 16' Dodge Journey. Darn thing has everything in it except a hand to wipe your butt AND automatic headlamps. Wonder what genius at Mopar decided that feature shouldn't be included in the all-inclusive package. Anyways, got the switch and sensor installed (that took all of about 2.5 seconds) and now just need to turn the option on. Brought it to the dealer and in typical fashion for most dealer techs around here (not all but most), too fricking lazy to get out of his own way and figure it out. Reminds me of dealer techs at Harley! Spent 30 minutes on it and gave up saying he couldn't find the option to enable it anywhere in the starscan tool/software. I asked him if he got the sales code and entered it in the system specific to my VIN and he looked at me like I had just told him the end of the world was right then and there and he would die a virgin.

I don't get these people that have jobs who's sole purpose of employment is customer satisfaction but have the worst damn attitudes towards customers.
