cold weather starts

2000 LHS, i have a remote start.it seems when temps are in teens with a good battery i'll hit the start button it will act like weak battery then it will crank over, happens in cold teens weather. anyone else experience this? anything to do with battery location?

How about weight of motor oil????

mr. yuck 12-28-2017 12:52 PM

10w30 royal purple synthetic

That should be adequate oil viscosity/weight. I run 10w30 mobil conventional in all4 of my rides, this am was -8*f all cranked a LITTLE slower than when it's warmer but all cranked strong and fired up well. Might need to have a starter motor amp draw test done when COLD. An electric high draw motor that has little to no lubricant to it and COLD weather can do strange symptoms to starting .

thanks it will do the weak crank once then crank fine
