Compressor switching on and off
My Ac compressor will turn off randomly sometimes and blow warm air for a while but I figured out that if I pop the hood and tap on the compressor fuse it’ll kick on. I have replaced the fuse, checked wiring, tightened fuse holder, changed relay. Anyone know what could be causing this?? |
Low refrigerant?

its best if you provide all that info to start with oh the compressor will kick it when the fuse is wiggled. then u have a loose connection.
First logical thing would be low freon high cycle times the low freon will keep the pressures out of range. |
low freon or you have a bad hi or low pressure sensor
|
Low freon might solve the issue

LOL ! Responding to a 1+ year old thread to someone that didn't give a model or year of vehicle in question . AND then didn't bother to read his only response that it would work when he tapped (moved) the a/c fuse. It has a problem in the fuse panel solder joints , as he said he tightened the prongs that hold the fuse.
BUT ....Yes it COULD also be a little low on refrigerant as a secondary issue. And on researching the member's past postings... it's a 2012 300 s model |
bypass the fuse with a jumper lead then see if it still cuts in & out
