Diagnosing door window not working

This is on a '97 Dodge Grand Caravan. The driver's window lowered, but will not raise. I have the service manual. Following its diagnostic procedures I've found that one of the pins in the door's wiring harness is dead (it is one of the two used to raise the window).

Next I plan to bypass the wiring with a jump wire to see if I can engage the window motor directly from the battery. But, whether or not there is a motor problem, there apparently is an electrical issue. My question is, what is the resolution to this? The manual doesn't say. Is further wiring diagnostics required? I have no idea how the harness is routed, or how difficult it is to replace if that is the problem.

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

Follow-up

Okay, I did the jump wire test and the motor didn't really respond. The "down" attempt would intermittently engage. The "up" attempt never did anything, which is what was happening originally before any testing. So now it seems I have a problem both with the wiring and the motor, which seems suspicious to me. I wouldn't expect a harness issue and a motor issue to occur at the same time. Maybe someone can offer an idea about this. Thanks.
