Door link rod broke
 

Hey guys I have a 2007 Chrysler 300C and I was trying to replace the back rear door handles because they broke off. While trying to do that somehow I broke the rod that goes from the door handle down to the lock. It was about a foot long and somehow snapped and half. Does anyone know where I can get that part because I tried ordering it from Chrysler Factory parts.com and they were on back order also does anyone know how to get the door open if the door is shut and I cannot get it to open.

A locksmith should have a "slim jim" that can reach down between the weatherstrip and the glass and unlatch the door. Then you'll have to remove the door trim panel to get to the broken parts. With the door closed, you might be able to get the trim panel off, or at least lifted far enough to reach the latch by removing the back seat. The usual method for removing the back seat is to push down and rearward on the seat cushion to spring it off its catch, then you can unbolt the seat back and get it out.
