DTC P1607

My wife was driving home today and the CEL came on. I ran the code and it came up with the following.. P1607 Serial Communication Problem With Device 7. I have no clue what that is. Any body have any ideas so I can go to the dealer and have a heads up?? The car is a 2006 Chrysler Sebring with 2.7 V6. It has 38,000 miles on it. Glad I have the 100,000 mile extended warranty.

Thanks in advance guys!

With the strong computer demands on the battery(even when not in use) A weak or dying battery can give this code and other odd happenings. I suggest you get a battery load test done at say an Autozone or such auto parts store(they will do it for FREE). You may have a weak battery cell or a dying one, not knowing how old the battery is. At best 4 years is about the expected lifespan of a vehicles battery anymore.

Code came back

So after testing the battery and its was good. I reset the code in january now just today the code came back it seems ill have to stop at the dealer sometime to get the computer reflashed also i notice a shaking in the engine barely noticeable but you can feel it in park and drive with car in no motion its like it jumps at times i got no code but the one with the timer. and just put spark plugs and wires as well as all the motor mounts it might also be the computer may be but the sake its being there since i got the car around end of november it was worse but after motor mounts and tune up it diminished a lot. Anybody knows how to check the coil pack thats the one thing i never changed but it doesnt misfire at all in drive and pulls strong thanks
