Fuel Filter (99 Concorde)

I need to put a new fuel filter on my 99 Concorde. It has the 2.7 L motor. When I went to the parts store, the guy said it was in the tank.

Is there a slick way to change these or do I have to drop the entire tank just to change the filter?
