Help With A/C...

Hey all...

I have a 2002 Chrysler Concorde Limited and in the past
few days the A/C has been going on freon.

I've taken to the shop 3 times.

I was told the system was a little low on freon. Mechanic
filled it and also replaced the expansion valve.

2 days later, it started blowing warm air again... Mechanic
said it was barely low on freon (1.5 ounces). Checked for
actual leaks in the system and cannot find any at all.

Took the car back in a day later with the same problem.

Mechanic cannot find any leaks... Doesn't know what to
do next!

I was told it might be a bad a evap core/coil??

any thoughts??

Thanks for the help.

Gary

If it's leaking but not externally, then there's a good chance it's the evaporator core. That's in the plenum chamber under the dash and requires removal of the dash to replace; not cheap.

WOW! Yeah I was told it was around a $1000.00 or so.

Thanks,
Gary

Since you can drive it, shop around for the best price. You may be able to do better.
