Need code to rekey my 2003 Pacifica
 

Bought my daughter a 2003 Pacifica water pump went out and the mechanic deleted the keys. Now have to have a code to rekey it. Can’t afford to take it to the dealership. Can someone please help me?

Have the mechanic tow it to a dealer and have the mechanic pay to have the dealer reprogram the keys; they apparently caused the problem and they need to pay to fix it. The other option is for the mechanic to call in and pay for a locksmith.

The dealer can provide the 4-digit PIN needed to add keys. It will be necessary to provide the VIN and prove ownership. You daughter will likely need to do this as the dealer may not want the liability to give the PIN to someone other than the owner. Some dealers may not want to provide the PIN so patience and calls to multiple dealers may be in order. A licensed locksmith should also be able to get the PIN, the key (pun intended) being licensed.
