Default NO FM radio signal in my 96 Sebring

i am having a problem with my radio in my 96 Sebring convertable. It has no radio signal. The CD and Tape work fine but all I get on the radio is static. I have only owned it for about a week and the radio worked fine the day I bought it. I checked the antenna connection on the back of the radio and at the antenna. When I moved the cable at the antenna out a little, I got a signal and thought I had it fixed. Later I drove out and nothing...I moved the cable and checked the connections again but to no avail. Any help would be great.

either the mid or at the antenna attachment is bad broken or loose. trace the cable down to the outside attenna or just replace the whole cable assembly.

thank you for replying...The cable looks good at both ends, must be in the mid...I'll replace.
Thank you again.

Before replacing I decided to ohm out the cable. i get a beep so the cable is fine. I moved it around at different locals to see if it might have a break but still reading thorough it. Must be in the radio connection. Is there a way to meter the radio connection? just wondering.
Thanks

One Final Note to this Thread...The problem was in the receiver. Just bought an after market system and replaced.
