Default Oil Consumption.

I have a 99 Cirrus. The engine was overheated about 3 years ago. I don't know how long someone else was driving the car. I now have a big oil burn problem a least a quart a week. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this other then the engine is shot?

Have you had the gaskets checked? I had similar problem on my another car. Try engine flush see if it helps any how.

Go to autozone or your local car parts dealer, and ask for engine restore, or I think now its called something like CD2 MAXX or something like that.. I don't remember... Mine went through almost double that, and all I did was put some fuel additives, changed the plugs and ignition wires, and added this engine restore every 2000 miles... I stopped checking it... restored about 65 horsepower at that... That stuff goes in and actually seals any holes or leaks you may have in the valves, gaskets, or even the cylinder walls... restores like up to 30 horsepower... have fun oh and it's totally fine to use with high octane fuels and other additives... my car hasn't blown up yet, and we use dragster fuel booster...
