re crank sensor help 2.5 v6

Really appreciate the feedback but could you be more specific on finding the crank sensor if possible please - I really am struggling.

Or have you possibly got a picture or description of what it looks like.

Its on a 2.5 v6 stratus/sebring cabroliet - european model.

More detailed description how to find it the better.

I am finding your forum really good. It as been 6 months since i have had the pleasure of driving the car - the sun is out and really want to get it back on the road.

I have had numerous mechanics look at it and my latest one is still struggling to find it.

Hoping and waiting in anticipation for as much help as i can get.

thanks i made a few mistakes on the thread and did not know how to rectify them so put new threads up. I have a haynes manual on order. When i get to england i will pick it up.
I did buy a service manual on a disc from ebay but it did not work - waste of money then i found another service manual but it is only in german. All i have done is try to make as plain and simple as possible to try to get the answer to one question.

Before i put on the thread i went through every single thread that had been posted. I got alot of help from someone called TN. I tried to contact him direct but was told i was not allowed. I didnt realise i was doing anything wrong by posting a new thread on the same subject. It was the only way i could see to ask a question.

As i have said before thank you for all the help you have given me. The information you have given me on finding the crank sensor i gave straight to the garage and i was asked if i could be a bit more specific hence i asked this site.

Back side of engine compartment......Mounted to the transmission bellhousing with a single 10MM head bolt. It has a pigtail about 8" long and a 3 wire plug. Remove the air cleaner and aim a flashlight down in there and it will bite you. :)

If this is a COUPE-2 door.. (MITSUBISHI BUILT) then the crank sensor will be inside the timing cover. You will see a wire running through the cover. It's mounted to the front of the block. NO, you do not have to remove the timing belt...there's room to get it out.
