Sebring suspension squeaks
My '99 Sebring convertible has a squeaky front suspension. Sounds like rubber, perhaps a bushing. Only happens when driving and not all the time. When I push up and down on the front end, I can't duplicate the squeak. Is it okay to use any kind of lubricant on the bushings under the front end? I would assume no petroleum based would be best. Perhaps, silicone? My mechanic doesn't see an obvious problem.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Thanks |
Do NOT use any petroleum based lubricant. You might try using water in a squirt gun to see if you can isolate the problem, the see if there's a proper fix once you find the source.
