92 Lebaron Convert Suspension Wobble_Rear

92 Convert wobbles (seems like rear end) when turning right at between 10 and 40 mph. Has new tires, new struts in front, new shocks rear. Rear brakes have been inspected...seem OK. Front brakes OK. Ball joints front OK. Steering joints good (tie rod ends).

No wobble in steering wheel...seems like it's all in the rear.

Could be the sway link in rear? Have looked at one end (rubber OK)... was not able to drive bolt out of drivers side of link arm...could not inspect.

Really need help.

Thanks.

Tonight I replaced rear brake drums and shoes. I checked the track rod bushings...good. I checked both suspension arm bushings (by prying) seem OK...no slop.

Still has serious wobble when taking right-hand curve at 20+ mph. No shake in the steering wheel when it occurs. Wobble has frequency that matches tire rotation.

Forgot to mention...there is a very annoying squeak in the rear suspension when hitting bumps a slow speed...or if you push down on rear of car when stopped. High pitched squeak.

Strange thing is if you jack up the drivers rear tire (jack under the axle) and then push down on same side...no squeak. Brake shoes squeaking? doesn't seem to be the case. New shoes and drums...exactly the same squeak.

This squeak started about the same time that the wobble started.

Almost Worthless

Found the problem. Frankly, no thanks to this forum. Thought someone might pipe up and tell me WTFO. But then one sees that there are threads with thousands of views and no replies... "Hello Wasteland"

Does Chrysler mean "your on your own pal"...that's what it seems like to me.

Wasteland

I don't know if you're still active here, but what was the issue? I have the squeak in the rear suspension and can't figure out where it's coming from either. It sounds like it's in the middle of the car.
