95 lebaron, wiper issue
 

hey guys. 95 lebaron gtc convertible. drove it for the first time in the rain today. I noticed I only have continuous wipers on LO and HI. I tried to put them on a delay/intermittent and all settings below LO just make a clicking noise in the dash.

obviously my wiper motor isn't bad since the wipers do work on full. what else is there that I could do to fix this? im obviously getting power to it but it isn't responding. checked on a lot of parts sites and could only find a relay.

pull your dash shroud switches and inspect the solder joints with a jewelers loupe...I had years of issues with those switches until I discovered some of the pins the solder had cracked...i resoldered them and everything started working again

just because it's an old thread doesn't mean the information is useless...I see no one else offered him any ideas in that 2.5 years...It took me about 4-5 years to find my solution to the same issues...maybe someone else searching for help might come by this thread in the future...there just is not much forum support for these cars anymore...
