2005 chrysler town and country no a/c

Hi All......The ac started blowing warm so I put gauges on it and the low side was around 100 and so was the high side.........I thought maybe the expansion valve was stuck but I wasn't sure............I replaced the compressor, evaporator, dryer, condenser and expansion valve........pumped it all down to around -29 then started to fill it...........first can the pressure was back up on the low side to 110 and the high 100 and no cool are........any help would be appreciated

you cant only have 1 lb of freon in there and expect it t work need 2 min. Second is the compressor coming o when u have 2 lbs of freon in the system?

Dave P 08-08-2017 02:41 AM

yes the compressor comes on and that's when the pressure goes to about 110 on the low side..................

Dave P 08-08-2017 07:14 AM

its acting like the expansion valve is stuck open as both the high side and low side have about the same amount of pressure....now maybe the new valve is bad or maybe since I didn't change the one in the rear ac that that's what my problem is

CHRYSLER TECH 08-09-2017 10:09 PM

you can hear the compressor itself come on and see the clutch spin?

Dave P 08-12-2017 10:59 AM

yes the compressor comes on..........

CHRYSLER TECH 08-13-2017 10:54 PM

do you have 2.88 lbs of freon in the system?

Dave P 08-14-2017 01:25 AM

no it wont take it because the pressure is so high

There's only one way to know how much refrigerant you have. You must suck it all out and add back the correct amount. You might have too much in there.

yes I've done that
