Check Engine Light
 2004 Crossfire has been in the shop more than with me for past 11 months. Hoping for assistance here. I have replaced 3 alternators, the ignition switch and housing, oxygen position sensor, battery, crankshaft position sensor, starter, battery terminal and cable ends.
Check engine light is on again. Now diagnostics showed following codes: P0400-EGR System Performance P0141-O2 Heater Performance P0112-Intake Air Temp Sensor P0410-Secondary Air Injection Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Erica |
Since the Crossfire was built by Mercedes, consider taking it either to a Mercedes dealership or a shop that specializes in German cars.
Other than the oxygen sensor code, none of the new codes have anything to do with the previous problems you listed. It could be the same sensor or a different one, you didn't specify. Regardless, you'll need to address each code separately and make the necessary repairs. The car is 8-9 years old now and beginning to show its age. As it gets older, more problems will arise. It's to be expected. If you can't keep up with it, or don't want to, maybe you should consider trading it in. |
Down to one code now!
Thanks for the feedback. I have reached out to Mercedes numerous times. Although parts are Mercedes, the VIN is Chrysler, so they are unable to assist at all...can't even pull up part numbers.
Codes were cleared this week and Check Engine light came on again today. Now only showing one code...P0410 Secondary Air Injection. Any and all suggestions more than welcome :) |
