Engine overhaul/upgrade

Hi all. I'm new here but have already enjoyed the vast source of priceless info on this site. This is really cool, not to mention very helpful. Quick question... does anyone know the best way to take care of your engine and protect yourself from potential engine breakdowns? I just bought a used 06 Pacifica Touring from a small dealership. I got the carfax report and the vehicle had one previous owner, and is still under mfgwarranty. Also I got an additional 3yr warranty. None the less I'm still worried that I should have got it from a certified dealer so I'm concerned about the engine. Any good ideas on how I can get some peace of mind about this? Change oil? engine diagnostic check? take it to dealership for engine check? It drives grt so far and there no prblms, just a little paranoid. Any ideas? anyone??

Para noia will destroy ya! If it ain't broke don't fix it. If it's running well, but you are still worried, I would have a DC stealership do the once over it, that way, if there is any warr issues, you can get them fixed right then and there.

Read the owners manual for the information about service intervals. Then follow the recommendations. It won't necessarily prevent all failures, but you'll know you are doing what's required and you should sleep better.
