Error Code P0462 is defined as Fuel level Sensor Circuit Low Input, which means the fuel level sensor is no longer taking correct readings.

If you read all of my post you should have seen this. |
If the gauges aren't reading fuel volume then it could be either the gauges themselves, or the part of the CPU that interprets that data, which would mean a new computer.
Those are the only two things left, and since I did read your post I was hoping that we could discuss it nicely so I could get more details, but apparently, not. Have fun with it. |
Again if you would have read all of by post I stated that the cluster was change. Which has the gauges on it.

Yes, You are correct . The fuel sensor is located on the fuel pump, which can not be replaced by itself on dodges fuel pumps.

I'm not familiar with the Charger, but I had an old Pacifica that threw the same codes. Both fuel gages (located in the fuel tank) were replaced. It only took a few drives around the block for the code to go away after that. Have they performed a diagnostic on the vehicle? Did you get it fixed? What was the solution?
