Default Grand Voyager 2.8crd 2008

2008 Grand Voyager 2.8crd, 50,00 miles. Automatic transmission problem. Engine management warning light on. When put into D and move off, there is no movement through the gears, ie: transmission remains in the "first gear" regardless or engine revs. No grinding or alarming noises Any takers? Thomas

The Transmission Contol Relay is found in the Box besde the battery I believe it is fused and that would be the first thing to check. It supplies power to the electronic module that controls the tansmission.
