Help with Pacifica radio! Please
After changing a window regulator in my wife's Pacifica(frozen windows won't go down!),the radio mysteriously stopped working. It comes on and displays stations and even the cd player works, just not getting any sound from the speakers.I first checked all of my fuses.Nothing blown. I checked all my connections to the amp located under the rear cargo area. Everything looked fine. I even purchased a new chrysler radio and installed it, and still the same problem. I don't want to fork the loot out for a new amp if it isn't the problem.Any suggestions? I really need help with this one so I don't have to keep listening to my wife nag about not having a working radio. I've seen threads of people experiencing the same problems, but no help on what to do. Any help would be appreciated!

Year??? and the three digit code in small print on the face of your radio...Usually starting with "R"
Pull the door panel back off, and make sure the speaker wires didnt get pinched, or cut during re-assembly. Open or shorted speaker wires will "Lock-out" the communication buss to the amp and shut it down for "Failsafe". |
The Pacifica is a 2004 model. The radio doesn't have three digits on the face but rather three letters- RDS. It is the one with the tape player,cd, and equalizer all in one. I also took the door panel off and checked the wires last week . Maybe I overlooked something.I'll check them again. The only fuses related are the 13,49,and 50.

Actually at closer inspection, The R-D-S is on the tape slot . RBP is in fine print on the face of the radio.
