Default Misfires

Hi all I need some help,
my daughter has a P T, 2005 2.4 auto petrol, she’s been told it’s misfiring on cylinder number 2. Possibly valve sticking, can someone tell me how hard a task is this please?
I have good mechanical skills and I’m and I’m retired so I have time on my hands,
regards colin

Before you assume it's something serious, be sure to rule out all the cheap stuff first. Could be a spark plug, coil, wiring problem, fuel injector, or fuel injector wiring. If you tore apart the whole engine and then found out it was a fouled spark plug, you would be sorely disappointed.

Invest in a shop manual, like a Chilton's or a Haynes manual and read up on the repair you are contemplating. Then you can decide whether you and your toolbox are up to the task.
