Sooo I have been I have been in the auto industry for the last 20 years and in car sales for the last 10.
One thing we all could agree on (at work) is that the chrysler sebring was one of the worst cars ever made.
A friend of mine has been bugging me to sell a car he took in trade for the last year. As soon as he says Sebring, I would roll my eyes and say no thanks.
Fast forward to 2023 and he asked me again to help him sell this car. I finally said fine and he dropped off what I thought would be a POS at my house.
BOY was I wrong!
This 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertible is in good shape. It has 102k miles, a new top, new tires and brakes. It has been sitting for more than a year because nobody wanted to entertain the idea of buying a sebring.
After reading about oil sludge issues I took a deeper look into the engine and found it has been replaced! I see the junkyard markings that say dodge stratus and the inside of the valve cover is very clean. There is no blowby and after 300 miles of driving, so far no oil had been burned.
I so far have enjoyed the drive. Everything works great, has the infinity sound system (lxi), cold ac, and soft leather seats. I must apologize to all Sebring owners to think that it would be crap.
Good looking Sebring! Welcome from the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Nice car. Lots of good, used Mopars around. My 2020 300S 5.7L with the Alloy Package.
After recent monthly cleaning.
