About my trip
My family is planning a two week out west RVing trip traveling to several different destinations from The badlands all the way down to the Grand Canyon with other places in between. Its a large extended family trip, so we will have 5 RVs in total, 1 for each family. I guess my question is, does it make sense to utilize the RV for all the trips, knowing there are a few times where we will be staying at the same campground for multiple nights, driving the RV back and forth each day, or does anyone have any advice on potential car rental ideas for day trips to minimize driving an RV everywhere. I don't have an issue driving an RV, just seems like a lot to do when a rental car that you pull behind the RV could be an option.
Thanks for your help!

It sounds like you have a great trip planned! Utilizing the RV for all of your trips can be convenient, but it can also be challenging if you have to drive the RV back and forth each day to your destinations. Renting a car to use for day trips is definitely a good option to consider, as it can make it easier to navigate through cities and towns and allow you to explore more easily.
One option is to rent a car at the beginning of your trip and use it for day trips during your stay at each campground. You can then return the rental car and continue your trip with the RV. Another option is to rent a car locally at each campground, but this can be more expensive and time-consuming.
If you do decide to rent a car, be sure to check with the rental company about their policies for towing a vehicle behind an RV. Some rental companies may not allow their cars to be towed, so it's important to check in advance.
Another factor to consider is the size of your RV and the roads you will be traveling on. Some roads may not be suitable for RVs or may have size restrictions, so it's important to plan your route carefully.
Overall, renting a car for day trips can be a good option to minimize the hassle of driving an RV everywhere, but it's important to consider the logistics and costs involved before making a decision.

Have a nice trip! I plan to buy my first RV at the end of this year and can't wait to go on the long trip to Patagonia next year.
Curios if someone ever purchased their rv from mhsrv. Reading about them here right now https://motor-home-specialist.pissed...om/review.html, but so many reviews actually say the opposite things. Please let me know if you know something about those guys or you just have an opinion about them.
