Anyone buy chrysler 300 thinking it was made in Detroit??

I did. Just wondering if anyone else did. The advertising is misleading as the car is not "Imported from Detroit" but imported from canada.

Interesting TIDBIT

When The Automakers were Starting To Expand....The "CANADIAN BUILT" vehicles were only done for PAPPERWORK purposes.....The executives did the math, and found it cheaper to buy Property in the CANADIAN wilderness, Build Assembly Plants, and Transport the assembled Products By Boat across Lake Michigan....Than it would have been to Expand their existing operations on the"PRIME REAL ESTATE" on the US side Of the Great LAkes Shipping District. This was a quite Profitable move that lasted Well into the 1980's....And Those "CAnadian Built" vehicles were ONLY LABLED AS SUCH, for the Difference in Shipping Tax Vs Import Tax.

if u wan to go all out I would do the same thing if its cheaper for u to build them just across the border and still sell them for a nice price so do it its all the tax they the fed government applies to each and everything the corporate system has.

Do u really think it cost 3.5 for a gal of milk
