will not start

I have a 93 Concorde with the 3.3 that will not start. It has 78,000 miles. It is getting fuel but none of the spark plugs is getting any kind of spark. It does not sound like it jumped timing as there is no backfiring.

Any ideas?

RE: will not start

Have you checked the coil?
now that you know the plugs are not getting spark follow it back to the source its doubtfull that all the wires have gone bad at once but the coil may cause that problem.

RE: will not start

Mine was not a Concorde, but the same engine. Mine did the same, I got the engine diagnostic codes from turning the key on and off twice and then back on. The engine light flashes numbers to count.
ie: one flash and then 2 flashes = code 12 which says your battery was disconnected within the last 50 starts.
If you can find a service manual from anything with a similar 3.3L drivetrain, even a minivan, the codes are about the same and it will tell you the problem.
Mine said that the injectors weren't working, and there was no spark even with maximum dwell time. Both these codes, when looking at the schematic, led to one relay and one wire. I swapped relays with the A/C relay to see if that was it.... nope. Found the green wire in the harness and it had been rubbed right through. Connected it together and Vrooom!
