2002 300M Heater Temperature

Hi,

I have a 2002300m and the heat coming from the vents is warm instead of hot. I put the setting at HI level and even after the carengine iscompletely warmed up (up to 30 minutes), the air comes out warm. It used to blow very hot air on this same setting. The blower seems to be working fine on all settings just the heat temperatureis low. Any idea what could be causing this? a faulty thermostat maybe?

Thanks for your help.

Does your temp gauge show a different temperature than before (i.e. is it showing a cooler temp)? The first thing I would do is check your coolant level, make sure it is normal. Low coolant can lower the heat temperature. Second, has it been flushed? If not, flush it or have it flushed, there undoubtedly is crap in there if it has not been flushed. Start with that and let us know what you find.

Yes, the level was a little low and I have added anti-freeze to the required level. No change, so I have flushed the radiator as well and no change on the heater temperature. What are some other options I can try? Thank you!
