You did not have the "Park Pawl" linkage in the correct position when you reinstalled the valve body. You will need to drop the pan and pull the valve body out again. Rotate the shift shaft fully clockwise and hook the park linkage on the flat bar under it. That way when you reinstall the valve body you cant miss the linkage going in the right place.

I know what I'm doing this weekend :( but thanks I did get counter and clockwise mixed up when I was under the car.Is there a way I can test it like move the wheel when its up on the jack before I let it down a fill it up?

From the top of the shift shaft, clockwise all the way. Last click can be tough to get past. Link Will Lock on the bar holding the park linkage in place. Once you put the valve body up, install the shift lever. Push it all the way toward the back of the car. With one wheel blocked, the other one should not spin if the park pawl is engaged. Then continue assembly.
You are in good company, valve body in and out of one of my M's twice in the past week also. Tried to 'fix" a solenoid, then bought one.
